As Vice President, Development, Kathy Black is responsible for the investment activities of the Ontario and Western Canada portfolios for all Fiera Real Estate Canadian funds. In addition to prospecting new potential partners, Kathy analyzes investment opportunities and leads, conducts due diligence, and collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Kathy joined the real estate industry in 2003, focusing on real estate developments of various asset classes. She has overseen projects totaling more than $2.3 billion for a combined total of 12,000 residential units. Working with various municipalities and the unique policy challenges they face, Kathy’s expertise pertains to municipal approval processes, land purchase and project feasibility, land zoning, site specific planning, and development and project management. Kathy earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.
Kathy is an active member of the Mississauga Chinese Parent Association where she leads the Parent Council and manages a body of over 500 students.
