Kathy Black

As Head of Development, Kathy is responsible for development projects across all Fiera Real Estate funds, as well as defining the investment strategy and carrying out the various business plans for the development funds. She leads the development team across the Canadian business servicing the Canadian funds of Fiera Real Estate ensuring best in class performance, execution, and risk mitigation.

Kathy joined the real estate industry in 2003, focusing on real estate developments of various asset classes. She has overseen projects totaling more than $5.3 billion for a combined total of over 23,000 residential units having worked with various municipalities and the unique policy challenges they face. Her leadership and ability to navigate complex market dynamics have been instrumental in driving the firm’s growth and expanding the development platform.

She is also deeply committed to giving back to her community and industry as she actively takes time to mentor aspiring real estate professionals, sharing her knowledge and experience to inspire the next generation of leaders while also advocating for sustainable development practices and promoting diversity and inclusion within the field.
